Wolfgang Münchau

Wolfgang Münchau is a co-founder and director of Eurointelligence. He writes the European economic column of the Financial Times, and is the recipient of the 2012 SABEW award for best international columnist. Before assuming his current position, Mr. Münchau co-founded and served as editor-in-chief of FT Deutschland. He is also a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations.

Susanne Mundschenk

Susanne Mundschenk is co-founder and director of Eurointelligence. She was a research fellow at the Center for European Integration Studies at the University of Bonn and visiting scholar to the European Institute of the London School of Economics. She started her career in Paris at the Association for the Monetary Union of Europe. She holds the degree of Diplom-Volkswirt and a PhD in Economics from the University of Bonn.

Miguel Carrión Álvarez

Miguel Carrión Álvarez (b. 1975) is Eurointelligence’s Spain, banking and markets analyst, since 2012 and full-time since 2016. He also writes on macroeconomics, financial instability, and EU policy. He has been a senior risk methodology analyst at a major Eurozone bank, where for 7 years he was variously involved with structural balance risk, capital aggregation, and derivatives counterparty credit risk. He previously worked as an equity analyst in the hedge fund industry. For 3 years he taught financial mathematics at Universidad Complutense. He has a PhD in mathematics from the University of California and a degrees in physics and mathematics from Universidad Complutense.
